The Influencing Skills Survey
The ability to influence is a critical capability possessed by all successful people. If you focus your
development on this capability, you will become more effective and get better results.
Our research has identified 42 separate skills which contribute significantly to the ability to influence. These
align to 7 key dimensions of influence...
Self-Awareness | Understanding Others | Understanding Groups
Influencing Individuals | Networking | Influencing Groups
Building Trust
(Complimentary Self-Assessment)
The Influencing Skills Survey has been designed to help you learn more about which of these 42 skills you
need to focus on in order to develop your capability to influence. After completing the self-assessment, you will then be
able to invite others to give you feedback.

Once
you have decided you have enough feedback, you can close your survey and see the report. The report is
simple and short. In addition to showing the dimension scores and detailed breakdown, extra sections are shown...
Influencing Strengths | Development Areas | Perceptual Gaps | Colleague Comments
Once you have analysed the results (and perhaps reviewed with your line manager), you can then plan your development focus
and plans. After a suitable period of development, you can then use the Influencing Skills Survey to gather more feedback to see
what has changed. This makes it an ideal before/after tool to demonstrate progress. In fact, you can do it several
times during the course of a year if you wish.*
* When you purchase the Influencing Skills Survey, you are given access to the survey for 12 months. During this time, you
can invite feedback from as many people as you like, and you can repeat the survey several times during the year to
monitor your progress.
